Celtic ready to return for McKenna in January

Celtic are ready to return with a fresh approach for Aberdeen central defender Scott McKenna.

According to The Daily Mail, Celtic are preparing to move for McKenna in the January transfer window.

The report claims that Premier League side Fulham are also eyeing a £9m swoop for Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata.

Fulham are keen to improve their defence in January after they missed out on Boyata in the summer, and are set to make a new offer in the winter window.

Celtic are now set to revisit their attempts to sign McKenna as a potential replacement for Boyata if he does move to Fulham.

McKenna has been impressing with Aberdeen over the past year and worked his way into the Scotland national team.

The Daily Mail claim that Wolves and Aston Villa are also showing an interest in McKenna, which could make it harder for Celtic to secure a deal.
