Leigh Griffiths declares himself fit and ready to start for Celtic
Celtic have a very busy month coming up and as such, Brendan Rodgers will be delighted to have Leigh Griffiths back fit and ready to start games.
As reported by the Scotsman, Griffiths is back fit after his injury lay-off which saw him miss seven games and after making a cameo appearance against Hamilton, he says he is now ready to play whenever called upon.
He said:
My injury has cleared up and I’m ready to kick on. You always want to be involved. When you’re injured, you don’t like being away from the team, especially if they’re having success – you want to be a part of it. We’ve got a lot of games this month. If I can stay injury free, hopefully, I can get back to scoring for club and country.
There have never been any doubts about the Scottish international’s ability or quality, but his injury record isn’t the best and as such, it’s become difficult for Rodgers to be able to rely on Griffiths.
However, in a busy month where Celtic will play eight games in 25 days, Griffiths will need to be called upon to help keep things ticking over nicely for the champions.
