Celtic Predicted XI v Salzburg (H)

It is crunch time for Celtic as they face Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg at home in the last round of Europa League group stage fixtures.

The Hoops need just a point from Thursday night’s game to ensure a place in the round of 32, so a stellar performance will be required against a side who have five wins from five in Group B, and also have the joint highest tally for goals scored (15).

The previous meeting between the sides saw Red Bull run-out as 3-1 winners despite Hoops striker Odsonne Edouard firing the visitors ahead inside two minutes.

Brendan Rodgers’ men have since lost just one game in all competitions; a 2-0 loss to German’s RB Leipzig who they later got revenge on after defeating them 2-1 at Celtic Park.

That match was the last European night at Paradise, so it is fair to say home crowd will be right behind the Scottish champions on Thursday given how much is at stake.
