Celtic are hopeful that both Dedryck Boyata and Ryan Christie will be fit to feature in the games against Aberdeen and Rangers.
The Daily Record reports that both players are closing in on their returns to full fitness, in what is a huge boost to Brendan Rodgers over the Christmas period.
Celtic face Motherwell and Dundee this week before coming up against Aberdeen on Boxing Day.
Rodgers’ side then travel to rivals Rangers three days later in what could be a defining period in this year’s title race.
Christie has been sidelined since an ankle injury forced him off against Red Bull Salzburg in the Europa League.

Meanwhile, Boyata has been out of action since the Betfred Cup final win over Aberdeen and is being tipped to play some part against Dundee over the weekend.
Speaking ahead of Celtic’s busy couple of weeks, Rodgers provided a fitness update for the Belgian defender.
Thankfully Dedryck’s injury was a slight, grade-one hamstring. He’s moving well. He has a good chance for the Aberdeen and Rangers games.
