Celtic have been given a good Europa League draw, according to the club’s former goalkeeper Alan Rough.
Speaking to PLZ Soccer, as cited on Inside Futbol, Rough explains why the Hoops will be hopeful going into their two-legged tie with Spanish side Valencia.
Monday’s draw put the Scottish champions against the struggling La Liga outfit, with many believing that the Hoops have a good chance of advancing into the next round.
They haven’t got a team who are in form and they have won only three of their 16 league games. We all know the history: they are a good side and they are playing betting quality than we have in our league, so there are quality players.
Celtic will have to improve, especially after the midweek game, and when you are at European level, you have to improve your own game.

Valencia currently find themselves in the bottom of the Spanish top tier, with the club struggling this season.
Despite starting the campaign in the Champions League, they have dropped into the Europa League after finishing third in their group.
Celtic will be wary that some of Valencia’s best performances have come in Europe this season, impressing during both games against Manchester United in the group stages of the Champions League.
