Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic will miss the Glasgow Derby against Rangers on December 29th after Australia called him up to represent his country in the Asia Cup.
Australia get their campaign underway against Jordan on January 6th, but the squad will meet up in Dubai a few days earlier before making their way to Al Ain, where they’ll play their first game.

The Australians could have prevented their players from competing in Boxing Day games, but they wanted to let their players be at home for Christmas and as such, they decided against doing so.
However, the Australian Football Federation will prevent players from playing on December 29th as they’ll be required to meet up with the squad for a mini-training camp ahead of the tournament.
Fellow Scottish Premiership side Hibernian have also been affected and they’ll have Martin Boyle, Jamie Maclaren and Mark Milligan all missing when they face Hearts in the Edinburgh derby on the same day.
