According to the Sunday Post, Celtic could make a January approach for West Ham striker Andy Carroll.
The Hoops are short of attacking options, with Leigh Griffiths on leave to deal with personal problems, and Moussa Dembele still not being replaced from his summer move to Lyon.
Teenage forward Michael Johnston has impressed in recent weeks, scoring his first goal for the club against Motherwell last week, before bagging a brace against Dundee on Saturday.

However, despite Johnston’s impressive performances, boss Brendan Rodgers looks set to be active in the January transfer window and could approach Premier League side West Ham over the availability of former England international Carroll.
The 29-year-old, who has turned out for the likes of Newcastle United and Liverpool during his career which began in 2006, is just returning from injury for the Hammers, with Turkish giants Galatasaray also being linked with the towering striker.
One obstacle Celtic will have to overcome would be Carroll’s salary, however, if they can secure the services of the experienced forward, it may well benefit Rodgers’ strike force in their attempts to land the Treble Treble.
