Ex-Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe is the latest name to be linked with a move to Celtic in January.
The Sunday Post reports that Celtic considered a deal to sign the player over the summer but ultimately decided against a move following the departure of Moussa Dembele.
However, the report claims that the former England man could be back on the club’s radar ahead of the January transfer window.

The biggest stumbling block for Celtic in any deal is the huge wages that Defoe is being paid by Bournemouth, who would have to contribute a significant sum if he were to leave in January.
Despite being handed a huge contract by the Cherries in his latter years, Defoe is struggling to get any game time under his belt at Bournemouth and is being linked with a January exit.
Promotion-chasing Sheffield United are also expected to look into a January move to sign the experienced striker.
