Atalanta are set to hold talks with Celtic target Timothy Castagne, but the Serie A club don’t want to sell the defender.
We reported yesterday, citing MailOnline, that the Hoops were interested in the 23-year old right-back, and were preparing a £6million offer for his services.
The Belgium international has impressed for La Dea this season, particularly against Juventus earlier this week, and that has drawn interested parties to his availability.
And according to HLN, this has encouraged Atalanta manager Antonio Percassi to pursue talks with the board over extending his stay in Bergamo.
The club board are also believed to be reluctant to let the former Genk man leave the Mapei Stadium any time soon.
