Celtic have reportedly placed a £1.75 million offer for Dunajska Streda striker Vakoun Issouf Bayo, according to the Express, cited by the Daily Record.
The 21-year-old has been a regular for Dunajska Streda in Slovakia’s top division, finding the back of the net on 18 occasions in 23 appearances this season.
And with Hoops’ record signing Odsonne Edouard struggling with a muscle injury and Leigh Griffiths taking time away from the game, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is short of options in an attacking sense.

Moussa Dembele also left Celtic Park on the final day of the summer transfer window, joining French side Lyon in a deal worth £20 million.
However, with Celtic favourites to land Paris Saint-Germain’s American youth international Timothy Weah next month, the club have also tabled an offer for Issouf Bayo.
The Ivory Coast under-23 international has helped his current club to second in the Slovak Super Liga, and with a host of European sides monitoring his progress, Celtic could well be landing a future star next month.
