Celtic have been told that they will need to up their bid for Vakoun Issouf Bayo to nearly £3 million.
According to the Daily Record, Bayo’s side Dunajska Streda are demanding a fee of £2.7 million for the striker after rejecting the Hoops’ first offer, which was believed to be in the region of £1.75 million.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have been heavily linked with a move to sign the player in January and have already had one offer turned down.

The Scottish champions are not alone in their pursuit of the player, Rapid Vienna and Italian side Parma have also made moves to sign the striker.
Celtic are in the market for a striker, with Paris Saint-Germain youngster Timothy Weah also believed to be closing in on a loan move to the club.
The position has been something of a problem area for the Hoops this season, with Odsonne Edouard left with all the responsibility in front of goal.
