Sunderland are being linked with a loan move to sign Celtic defender Jack Hendry.
According to the Sunderland Echo, who cite claims made by the Daily Mail, the League One side have set their sights on Hendry, with manager Jack Ross keen to strengthen during the January transfer window.
Hendry has been in and out of the Celtic side following his move from Dundee last season.

While he has impressed in patches, he is far from the finished product in Scotland and could benefit from a loan spell away from the club.
Sunderland are not the only team interested in the player, according to the report, with Bradford and Portsmouth also keen.
The 23-year-old has started just three league games this season and has not featured for the club since October.
Hendry could benefit from regular game time in England, with Sunderland pushing for promotion, but Celtic will be wary about losing the player given their injury record this season.
