Celtic deny interest in deal to sign MLS winger Elis
Celtic are not in the running to sign MLS winger Alberth Elis, despite reports emerging over the weekend that suggested otherwise.
The Daily Record have acted quickly to squash rumours of a move for the Houston Dynamo winger.
It had been claimed over the weekend that Celtic were ready to offer £6 million to sign the player this month, but that no longer appears to be the case.
Elis has been in red-hot form for Dynamo in the MLS, making it easy to see why links of a big European move would emerge.

The player himself revealed that there is a European offer on the table, unfortunately for Celtic fans, the offer in question does not appear to be coming from the Scottish champions.
After signing Oliver Burke on loan from West Brom for the remainder of the season, it is highly unlikely that the Hoops will pursue a deal for Elis, with Brendan Rodgers still looking to sign a striker this month.
