Kieran Tierney won’t train with the Celtic squad at their Dubai warm weather camp.
Manager Brendan Rodgers has taken his players away for the third year in a row during the winter break and he hopes the impact is the same as it has been in the two previous years.
Rodgers was happy to give his players a week off with their families but they’ll now get back to work in the UAE, where the warm weather will be a benefit.

However, one man who won’t train with the rest of the squad is Kieran Tierney. The full-back battled with a hip injury throughout December and although he was named on the bench for the 1-0 Glasgow derby defeat to Rangers, it appears that he isn’t close to being fit enough for a return to action.
Rodgers told the Celtic View:
Kieran probably won’t train this week, but there’s a good period for him to work closely with the medical team.
Celtic’s first game after the break is the cup clash on January 19th and it looks like Tierney will miss that tie, but he’ll be hoping to be fit for the visit of St Mirren on January 23rd.
