Brendan Rodgers has not ruled out Kieran Tierney requiring surgery to heal a hip problem.
The Celtic left-back has been missing since the Europa League clash with RB Salzburg last month and is not currently training with the squad in Dubai.
There is a chance that rest could simply allow Tierney to recover fully, but Rodgers told the Daily Record that the outlook is a little cloudy:
I’m not sure. We are just monitoring it and we will see how he is.
He’s still not training but he’s out here with the rehab team so hopefully next week we’ll see if there is any reaction when he starts training.
Rodgers also provided an update on the fitness of French pair Olivier Ntcham and Odsonne Edouard:
Olivier felt his hamstring tight in training, so he’s going to have a scan.
Odsonne will join in the training in the latter part of the week.
Celtic host Airdrieonians in the Scottish Cup on Saturday, before returning to Premiership duties at home to St Mirren next Wednesday.
