Damien Duff and Stephen McManus have been added to Celtic’s coaching staff, BBC Sport have confirmed.
Duff arrives at Parkhead as reserve team coach, while ex-Hoops skipper McManus will take up the role of U18s coach.
Former Chelsea winger Duff had been in charge of Shamrock Rovers’ U18s side and he told Celtic’s official website about his excitement over the move:
It is a massive honour to be given this opportunity and I am looking forward to playing my part in developing our young players of the future.
McManus, meanwhile, had been coaching at Motherwell, following his retirement in 2017.
The 36-year-old started his playing career with Celtic and made 203 appearances between 2003 and 2010.
He also revealed his happiness at the news, as he looks to blood a new generation of young talent:
It was a real dream come true to reach the Celtic first team and now it will be an absolute privilege to work every day with our young players to see if they can live their own dreams.
