Odsonne Edouard set to return to training later this week
Celtic have been handed a major injury boost with the news that Odsonne Edouard is set to resume full training later this week, as per a report in The Mail.
Celtic spent a club record fee to sign the French striker on a permanent deal after his successful loan spell last season and he’s repaid them with 14 goals already during the first half at the current campaign.
Edouard sat out the Scottish Cup win over Airdrieonians at the weekend and the game against St Mirren on Wednesday is likely to come too soon for the forward, but he should be back sooner rather than later.
Celtic had been left short of forward options with Edouard injured and Leigh Griffiths taking a break for personal reasons, but the loan signing of Edouard’s former PSG teammate Timothy Weah has helped ease the burden slightly.
Weah will likely start against St Mirren but Edouard could return for the clash with Hamilton on Saturday.
