Brendan Rodgers has revealed that he will only seek to add ‘genuine quality’ in the remainder of the January transfer window.

Beyond throwing up the obvious question as to what he’d been signing so far, it appears as though the Hoops might have concluded their business until the summer.

With the window set to close at the end of the month, Rodgers is quoted by Sky Sports as saying:

What is what is important for us. If you are going to bring in any players they have to be of real genuine quality.

But they also have to be able to enhance our group. They have to be able to really make a genuine difference.

A club like Celtic, with its status, you always have to be looking outside as well. So that is something that is ongoing.

But we want to bring in quality. That would be the message.

Do Celtic need to make another signing before the window shuts?

Welcoming Oliver Burke, Timothy Weah, and Vakoun Issouf Bayo, the Bhoys faithful are eager to see the impact their new trio will make at Parkhead.

Weah opened his Celtic account by netting the third goal in the 3-0 cup victory against Airdrieonians on Saturday, whilst Burke played a full 90 minutes at the top of the formation.
