Celtic are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Ukranian winger Marian Shved.

As per a report from The Scotsman, who cite claims made in Ukranian media, the Hoops are close to completing a deal with Karpaty Lviv.

Talks are said to be in the ‘final stages’ with Brendan Rodgers looking to seal his fourth signing of the January window.

The report claims that the winger missed yesterday’s training session in order to complete the final stages of his move to Scotland.

Shved came through the ranks at Karpaty Lviv but spent two years in Spain, playing for Sevilla’s youth side.

After impressing at youth level, he would go on to feature for the club’s B side but has since returned to his home country.

He made his debut for Ukraine at a senior level in late 2018, coming off the bench in a friendly game against Turkey.

Is Shved a good signing for Celtic?
