Celtic are set to announce a deal to sign Andrew Gutman imminently, according to the Daily Record.
They report that an announcement could be made very soon after the player was spotted at Parkhead last night.
Gutman watched Celtic put four past St Mirren, sparking talk that a deal could be confirmed later today.
He would have no doubt been pleased with what he saw, with Brendan Rodgers’ side extending their lead at the top of the table.
The defender has agreed a deal to join Celtic after turning down interest from both Rangers and clubs in America.
He spent time on trial at Rangers earlier this season but has since done the same with Celtic, featuring in a game for the Hoops against Arbroath.
The move has been in the works for some time after Chicago Fire all-but confirmed the player was Celtic-bound when he rejected a contract with the MLS outfit.
