Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has insisted that he has the final say on all transfers at Celtic Park, amid rumours of a disagreement with head of recruitment Lee Congerton, the Daily Record report.
The Hoops are reportedly close to landing their fourth signing of the January window in Ukrainian winger Maryan Shved.
The 21-year-old, who made his senior debut for Ukraine as a substitute against Turkey in November, is expected to complete a £1.75 million switch from Karpaty Lviv within the next 48 hours.
Rodgers, talking in the week, has revealed that the youngster is close to joining the club but insisted he may have to head out on loan in order to get regular game time.

He’s a winger. I don’t need a winger now but he’s a talent and if the club sign him then we’ll look at a development plan, whether it’s coming in now or going on loan to play games.
The deal should be done at the beginning of the week and we’ll go from there.
Rodgers, who turned 46 on Saturday, also added that he gives the green light on all incomings at Celtic Park, despite rumours suggesting head of recruitment Congerton has more of an influence.
When asked if he gives the final say on transfers, Rodgers said:
Yes. Absolutely. It will come to me in the process. I’ll look at him and see where he’s at and then we decide from there.
My job is also to protect the club. The club work in a particular way to develop young talents and my job is to assess the talent.
