Aberdeen are keen on a deal to sign Celtic winger Jonny Hayes before the end of the month.
According to The Daily Record, Aberdeen want to re-sign the forward, with the transfer window slamming shut on Thursday.
Hayes has fallen out-of-favour at Celtic Park this season, which could tempt Celtic into letting him leave.
The report does not state whether Aberdeen are looking into a loan or permanent deal for Hayes.
He joined Celtic from Aberdeen in the summer of 2017, but has only made 21 league appearances for the club in that time.
The Irishman made over 150 league appearances during his time at Aberdeen, scoring 23 goals for the club in a five-year stint.
Aberdeen are now hoping that they can secure a deal to bring back this month, with Celtic having already strengthened their attacking options.
Oliver Burke and Timothy Weah have both been brought in to bolster Brendan Rodgers’ squad ahead of the second half of the season.
