Hibernian are interested in signing Scott Allan this month, according to a report from the Edinburgh Evening News.
Despite the club currently wading through uncertain waters with regards to their managerial situation, Celtic’s Premiership rivals are said to be keen on bringing the midfielder to Easter Road.
The 27-year-old had a spell on loan in Leith last season, which proved to be a welcome relief from what has been a relatively nightmarish Parkhead career.
Joining from Hibs in 2015, Allan has made just 17 appearances for the Bhoys – all coming within his first season at Celtic Park.
With a pre-contract agreement signed for the summer, it is understood that negotiations to bring the two-way threat across Scotland this month are far from over – despite the suspension of Neil Lennon, in a saga no one seems to fully understand.
One thing is for sure however, and that is the fact Scott Allan’s Celtic career will end soon – when, though, remains to be seen.
