Scott Brown will decide where his future lies this week, according to the Daily Record.
There has been endless speculation surrounding the Celtic captain’s next decision, as he weighs up his options moving forward.
It has been confirmed that the 33-year-old has rejected a big-money move to Al-Wasl FC in the United Arab Emirates, making it a straight shootout between two options.
Brown will now decide whether to remain at Celtic, where he has excelled over the last 12 years, or move to table-topping Australian A-League side Western Melbourne.
The veteran midfielder has also been linked with moves to MLS outfits Kansas City and the Seattle Sounders, but is believed to be “cool” on those approaches.
Celtic are still hopeful that Brown will sign a new deal at the club, as they look to secure the ‘treble treble’ this season and win 10 major trophies in a row.
The lure of taking his family to Australia is an appeal for Brown, but time will tell whether it means more than extending his stay at Parkhead.
