Celtic are keen on signing Sunderland left-back Bryan Ovideo, according to AS, via HITC.
Brendan Rodgers is still looking for reinforcements this month and is hoping to get a deal over the line before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
The move would have to be completed by 11pm UK time.
Oviedo is one of Sunderland’s highest-earning players, so letting him go would free up funds for the League 1 club.
He joined the Black Cats from Everton when they were still playing Premier League football back in 2017.

Celtic could arguably do with extra depth at left-back, with Kieran Tierney injured and Emilio Izaguirre struggling for form.
Oviedo would bring both pedigree and quality with him to Parkhead, should a move go through.
The 28-year-old has won 46 caps for Costa Rica and his experience could be invaluable in the Scottish Premiership title run-in.
Celtic are believed to be winning the race for his signature, but three clubs from abroad are also interested, as well as one Championship side.
