Celtic have failed in a loan bid to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender Colin Dagba, according to reports in France.
French outlet RMC, as cited on Get French Football News, claims that both the Hoops and St Etienne have seen bids for the defender turned down by Thomas Tuchel this month.
Celtic were eager to bring in the player on loan, while St Etienne floated the idea of a permanent transfer, but Tuchel clearly wants to keep hold of the player for the immediate future.

The Hoops have been looking to sign a right-back this month, with concerns growing about Mikael Lustig’s long-term future at the club.
Having also seen bids for Atalanta’s Timothy Castagne rejected, the Hoops are yet to strengthen in a position that has become something a problem area for the club.
The report does not specify whether Celtic’s bid was made before or after the deal to sign Timothy Weah was confirmed, but it appears that Dagba is a PSG youngster that the Hoops will have to miss out on this time around.
