Celtic captain Scott Brown has put pen to paper on a two-year contract extension.
The club have confirmed that Brown will extend his stay at the club and in turn has rejected lucrative offers from elsewhere.
In what is a major boost to both Brendan Rodgers and Celtic, Brown has turned down the opportunity to move to the A-League, where Western Melbourne were particularly keen to sign the player.
After being granted permission to join the A-League, they were keen to snap up the Celtic skipper, on what would have been a big-money deal for Brown.
However, Brown will now stay at Parkhead, with fans hoping his attention can begin to turn to the potential of winning 10 in a row.
The midfielder first joined the club back in 2007 from Hibernian and he clearly was not ready to move on just yet.
After enjoying an illustrious career at Celtic, Brown will no doubt be looking to help guide the club through continued dominance in Scotland.
