Celtic duo to remain at the club despite loan interest

Celtic will retain Jack Hendry and Jonny Hayes this month after refusing to let the pair leave the club on loan.

According to Team Talk, Hayes was set for a temporary move back to Aberdeen and Hendry was interesting Bradford City, but now the Hoops are understood to have quashed any chances of those deals coming to fruition.

Hayes has fond memories of his time at Pittodrie, where the 31-year-old spent an enjoyable five seasons before his move to Celtic, where he hasn’t quite had the same impact.

The midfielder has started just three times for the Bhoys this season, with the club willing to let the player leave, whilst being simultaneously keen to keep him until the end of the season before deciding on his future.

Jack Hendry has seen his potential loan move to Bradford called off, with the English side also said to be eyeing up 21-year-old Calvin Miller.
