Celtic captain Scott Brown has admitted he is aiming to prove his doubters wrong once again after penning a new deal with the Hoops, the Belfast Telegraph report.
The 33-year-old joined the club back in 2007 from Hibernian for £4.4 million and has gone on to make over 500 appearances, finding the back of the net on 33 occasions.
The Celtic captain, who retired from international duty for a second time last year, was strongly linked with a move to Australian A-League outfit Western Melbourne last month.

However, Brown, who has won 17 major honours with Celtic, rejected the chance to move to Australia and instead signed a new deal at Celtic Park until the summer of 2021.
By signing the new deal, Brown also has the opportunity to lead Celtic to 10 consecutive Scottish Premiership titles.
And despite cementing himself as a club legend over recent years, club captain Brown admitted he is still looking to prove his doubters wrong.
I am 33 just now and 34 in the summer and I feel as good as I have done for a long time.
It is something I have done all my career. People have doubted me all the way through.
People said I would never play football in the first place, I was too small and not aggressive enough.
I have stayed here for 12 years and not a lot of people would have expected that when I first signed for the club.
The no-nonsense midfielder is expected to start once again under Brendan Rodgers in Celtic’s trip to St Johnstone on Sunday.
