Celtic look set to be without midfielder Tom Rogic for six weeks after the player was left requiring knee surgery.
The club have confirmed the player will need to go under the knife as he bids to recover from his injury.
Brendan Rodgers revealed on Friday that the player will be in London to see a specialist.
The news comes as a huge to Celtic, with the player being away on international duty over the new year period.
Rogic’s involvement in the Asia Cup was a controversial matter for the club after the player missed the local derby against Rangers, making the injury news even harder for the Hoops to accept.
Australia were knocked out of the competition after a 1-0 defeat against the UAE.
Rodgers will be hoping the January signings will be enough to fill the void Rogic leaves in the Celtic squad as he recovers from surgery.
