Celtic have been dealt another potential injury blow with the news that Ryan Christie could miss the clash with Hibernian.
The Hoops host their Scottish Premiership opponents at Parkhead on Wednesday night, looking to continue their march towards title glory.
Brendan Rodgers may have to make do without key man Christie for the game, however, after the midfielder injured his ribs in Sunday’s 2-0 victory away to St Johnstone:
Ryan Christie has really sore ribs, he could hardly breath, but he kept fighting and kept running.
Rodgers confirmed that he was struggling after the match, following a collision with Jason Kerr in the second-half.
Celtic will already be without James Forrest and Odsonne Edouard – Christie and Edouard were injured within seconds of one another – so the news is far from ideal timing.
Christie has become one of Celtic’s most influential players this season, providing quality and industry in the middle of the park.
The 23-year-old has scored nine goals in 23 appearances in all competitions.
