AIK midfielder Sebastian Larsson has talked up a return to Sweden for Celtic defender Mikael Lustig.
Speaking to Swedish outlet Expressen, the former Sunderland midfielder said that the player would be welcomed back to his home country with open arms.
I don’t know exactly how his situation looks at Celtic. It would be good for all Swedes and Swedish football if he moved home and I want him in AIK.
This follows rumours that the defender is wanted in Sweden, with his contract at Celtic coming to an end.

Concerns have been raised over the player’s long-term future at the club, with the January signing of Jeremy Toljan from Borussia Dortmund likely to see Lustig fall out of favour.
The player himself has previously talked up the possibility of extending his stay at Celtic and signing a new deal, but it remains to be seen if the club will be forthcoming with such an offer.
Lustig has been a regular at the back for Celtic over the years but has seen his role in the first-team squad diminish recently under Brendan Rodgers.
