Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic has hailed the “amazing” Timothy Weah for his impact in recent weeks.
Brendan Rodgers was able to snap Weah up on a loan deal from PSG until the end of the season and the youngster has had the perfect start to life in Scotland.
Weah has only started once so far, yet has scored three goals and managed an assist – coming in his four substitute appearances.
The 18-year-old had played twice in Ligue 1 earlier this season for PSG, where he was also able to find the back of the net on one occasion.
As quoted by The Celtic Star, Simunovic said this:
When he came on, Timo was amazing against St Johnstone, and that’s amazing for everyone in the team, not just for him.
Coming off the bench, helping the team with an assist and, of course, scoring a goal is something which drives everyone, collectively and individually, to give more and more.

Sometimes the team needs that bit of freshness coming off the bench, and sometimes the player coming on themselves needs that.
What Timo did against St Johnstone was amazing, and giving that contribution as a sub is everything a striker wants to do.
Weah came off the becnh against St Johnstone and set up James Forrest for the opening goal in the 78th minute, before adding his own name to the scoresheet just over ten minutes later.
