After nursing a hip injury, the Scottish defender is now believed to be close to a return and the report claims that he is ‘desperate’ to get back up and running.
It’s a timely boost for Celtic, who have a potential left-back dilemma on their hands ahead of the game.
Emilio Izaguirre, the club’s back-up left-back has been struggling in recent weeks.
As a result, Jonny Hayes has been used as a makeshift defender, but that is not something Rodgers wants to take into the Europa League.
