Weah reacts to ‘rough night’ after Valencia defeat
Young Celtic striker Timothy Weah has labelled the club’s midweek defeat to Valencia as a ‘rough night’.
The Paris Saint-Germain loanee posted a photo on his official Instagram account in the wake of the defeat.
Celtic would have been well aware that they were going to be in for a tough night against the La Liga outfit, but their evening was compounded by goals from Denis Cheryshev and Ruben Sobrino either side of half time.
The result puts Valencia in the driving seat for the second leg in Spain, with two away goals in the bank.
Can Celtic beat Valencia in the second leg?
Yes
No
Weah came off the bench just before the hour mark to make his European debut and will no doubt be pushing to start against the La Liga side in the return leg.
It will be a huge ask for Celtic to overcome the deficit now, but an attacking line-up at the Mestalla is surely a must.
