Celtic’s best wins against Kilmarnock

Celtic travel to Kilmarnock on Sunday afternoon looking to bounce back from their disappointing defeat to Valencia in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Strikes either side of half-time from Denis Cheryshev and Ruben Sobrino gave the La Liga outfit a 2-0 win in Scotland and left Brendan Rodgers’ side with it all to do in Spain next week.

Domestically, Celtic currently sit six points clear of second place Rangers in the Scottish Premiership ahead of the weekend’s fixtures, with Kilmarnock 11 points adrift in fourth.

Brendan Rodgers’ side suffered a 2-1 defeat at Rugby Park back in September, with Stuart Findlay’s stoppage-time strike earning Killie all three points.

However, the Hoops came out on top in the last encounter, brushing aside Steve Clarke’s side 5-1 at Celtic Park.

The Hoops have enjoyed plenty of success against Kilmarnock over recent years, so we’ve decided to take a look at some of the best moments they’ve had against the East Ayrshire outfit.
