Celtic snatched a late win at Kilmarnock to go eight points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership with Scott Brown’s deflected shot settling things after a pretty poor game.
The visitors began the game brightly with a couple of chances falling to Odsonne Edouard, however, the Hoops became too pedestrian in their passing as Killie came into the game.
Into the second half, it looked as though Conor McAleny had fired his side in front although he was adjudged to have handled the ball in the process.
Brendan Rodgers’ side continued to lack any real penetration as Oliver Burke and Timothy Weah came off the bench.
With 15 minutes left Killie were reduced to 10 men after Kirk Broadfoot saw red for a high challenge on Scott Brown.
Despite being a man up, Celtic looked as though they would be taking just one point before Brown found the net via a deflection after Dedryck Boyata’s knock-down in the box.
The Hoops captain received his second yellow card after some wild celebrations with jubilant Celtic supporters.
It wasn’t the greatest performance you’ll see, but here’s how we rated the players after a huge three points.
