Celtic extended their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership to eight points as they secured a narrow 1-0 victory at Kilmarnock.

The Hoops struggled to break down the hosts for large periods but eventually netted a decisive goal in the 90th minute.

Scott Brown drove the ball home with a deflected effort after Dedryck Boyata’s nod-down, sending Celtic fans behind the goal into raptures.

The captain was then sent off after jumping into the crowd, ergo earning himself a second yellow card.

Brown was in the thick of the action, as 15 minutes before the goal, Kirk Broadfoot’s high challenge on the Scotsman saw the Kilmarnock player sent off.
