Jeremy Toljan believes Celtic have the quality to produce a shock and turn their Europa League tie with Valencia on its head.
Brendan Rodgers’ side were outplayed by their La Liga opponents last Thursday, losing 2-0 at Parkhead.
It has put Valencia in pole position to reach the last-16, with the Hoops given a mountain to climb at the Mestalla.
Toljan certainly hasn’t lost all hope, however, as he continues to settle into life at his new club.
Speaking to the Daily Record, the right-back admits the odds are stacked against Celtic, but claims they have the attacking quality to hurt Valencia:

It will be my first time in that stadium and it would be a big result if we could somehow could go through.
As we say in Germany ‘hope never dies’, so we’ll go there with the right attitude and try to beat them. Miracles happen.
We have forwards like James Forrest, Oliver Burke and Scott Sinclair, who are very quick and they are also good players.
They have also proved they can score goals so I hope we can create the opportunities for them in Spain.
Rodgers and his players should be in good spirits after Sunday’s dramatic 1-0 win away to Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership.
There will be no shame in bowing out to a good Valencia side, but there should still be optimism ahead of Thursday’s second leg.
An early goal would change the entire complexion of the tie and Celtic would likely grow in stature.
