Leicester City are ready to make an approach for Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers, according to the well-connected Telegraph journalist John Percy.
The Foxes are in the market for a new manager after sacking Claude Puel following their 4-1 defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Percy reports that Leicester made a ‘tentative approach’ for the Celtic boss earlier in the season but were told that the manager was focused on the Scottish champions.
Percy also reports that Celtic will demand £6m in compensation if Rodgers does leave to take over at the King Power stadium but as it stands, there in no indication that the Celtic boss has had a change of heart.
One possible option for Leicester, if Rodgers decides to stay at least for the remainder of the campaign, is to hire an interim manager until the end of the season and then make a move for the 46-year-old, but again, there is no word as to what their plans are at this early stage.
