Celtic goalkeeper Scott Bain spoke to the media, as per the club’s YouTube channel, ahead of his side’s visit to Tynecastle on Wednesday night as they hope to maintain an eight-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
The 27-year-old has been Celtic’s number one since the turn of the year, only conceding his first goal in 2019 to Motherwell after a bizarre moment in the game.
Bain lambasted Sunday’s opponents as they failed to return the ball to Celtic after Ryan Christie’s injury stoppage and says he hopes to return to clean sheets against Hearts.
The stopper also saluted his manager Brendan Rodgers amidst some strong speculation linking him with the vacant Leicester City job and hopes the Northern Irishman will stick around in Glasgow as Celtic set their sights on an eighth consecutive league title.
Kieran Tierney was also singled out by his teammate after wearing the captain’s armband in the 4-1 victory over Motherwell.
Take a look at what Bain had to say in Monday’s press conference ahead of Hearts!
