Another week has passed and as a Celtic supporter, that means another two games have come and gone. Our European adventure is over for another season as we predictably faltered against Valencia in the Mestalla but as usual, things are different at home where we maintain our eight-point gap by soundly thumping Motherwell at Celtic Park on Sunday.
At both the Mestalla and Celtic Park we again saw a different side of this current team. Against Valencia, on Thursday we witnessed what looked like a confident team with calmness and composure on the ball – a direct contradiction to the first leg in Scotland. Similarly, on Sunday after losing a rather obscure goal, Celtic looked like they might capitulate and let the game get away from them but they found a way to lift their spirits and notch up the score to better reflect the overall performance.
Over the course of these two matches, the stock of some players has increased and the stock of others has decreased.
This is the Celtic Stock Market.
