Moussa Dembele has aimed a dig at Brendan Rodgers following the manager’s decision to quit Celtic for Leicester City midway through the season.
The Northern Irishman was appointed as the Foxes’ new boss on Tuesday evening after jumping at the opportunity to discuss replacing Claude Puel at the helm.
Neil Lennon has since been appointed as Celtic’s interim manager and will hope to help the team secure an unprecedented Treble-Treble this season.
Rodgers has come in for criticism from large sections of the Hoops’ fanbase following his decision to immediately swap Celtic Park for a return to the Premier League, but the fans aren’t the only ones who have expressed their distaste.

Former striker Dembele, who completed a move to Lyon in the summer transfer window, was believed to have had a frosty relationship with the former Liverpool manager and took to Twitter as he reacted to the news of his departure.

Dembele was evidently unconvinced by Rodgers’ long-term commitment to Celtic following his switch to Ligue 1, and his concerns appear to have been justified in light of Tuesday’s developments.
