Celtic fans hold up banner labelling Rodgers a fraud ahead of Hearts clash

Celtic fans have taken aim at Brendan Rodgers with a banner held up in the build-up to their clash with Hearts in the Scottish Premiership.

Before kick-off, a selection of Celtic fans decided to hold up two banners which read “You traded immortality for mediocrity” and “Never a Celt. Always a fraud”.

It was confirmed on Tuesday that Rodgers had left Celtic to join Premier League side Leicester, who won the title as recently as 2016.

Neil Lennon has taken over as Celtic manager on an interim basis until the end of the season, with the game against Hearts being his first game back as Celtic’s manager.

Rodgers joined Celtic in 2016 and won seven trophies during his time as manager, including two league titles and five cups.

The Northern Irishman now replaces Claude Puel at Leicester, with the club 11th in the Premier League.
