Celtic’s John Kennedy has confirmed that he turned down the chance to join Brendan Rodgers in moving to Leicester City.
As reported by Herald Scotland, Kenedy reveals that moving to the Premier League side was never an option for him, despite working well alongside the former Celtic boss.
Kolo Toure left Celtic and followed Rodgers to the King Power Stadium and there were suggestions that more changes could be on the way, but that no longer appears to be the case.
There wasn’t a moment when I might have gone too. I’d a great relationship with Brendan. The first I spoke with him about this was Monday morning. He said he was probably going to speak with Leicester and to get ready to take the team.

Rodgers was confirmed as the new Leicester boss earlier this week, with Kenedy sticking around as part of the new backroom set-up involving Neil Lennon until the end of the season.
The 47-year-old has been given the job until the end of the summer in a bid to steady the ship and see Celtic through to another league title.
