Former Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley is currently a free agent and in a recent interview, he admitted that he’d love to return to the Scottish champions.
Ledley is currently without a club after terminating his contract with Derby County last month. The Welsh star had previously spent over a year without a club following his release from Crystal Palace back in 2017 but he was unable to make things work under Frank Lampard at Derby.
The 32-year-old wants to continue his playing career and when asked about a possible return to Celtic Park, he said:
Obviously, I’d love to go back but it has all changed now. New manager, new staff so it has all changed. But you would never say no to a club like that. I had a fantastic time there.
So, Ledley would like to return to Celtic, but do the fans want him back?
We ran a vote to get a consensus and with almost 1000 votes cast, the sample size was pretty substantial and whilst the vote was pretty close, the majority said they did not want Ledley back at the club.
Whether Neil Lennon agrees with the fans, or whether he brings back the veteran, remains to be seen.
