Celtic winger Scott Sinclair has been a huge success since he signed for the club in 2016. He endeared himself to the fans immediately when he climbed off the bench on his debut to score the winning goal at Tynecastle.
His first season was one of goals and assists, he tore opposing teams apart and slammed home 21 league goals and was named Player of the Year both by his team mates and by the league.
Songs have been sung about him running down the wing, being magical and wonderful.
This summer though, could see the end of his time at the champions. There is a clause in his contract that the club need to activate in order for him stay. If this is not done, then he would leave on a free transfer.
He is currently top goalscorer this season in all competitions alongside Odsonne Edoard on 17, despite a slow start to the campaign where he struggled for form and goals.

Some fans will argue that his goals have been crucial this season, and he deserves the extension. Others may point to a drop in contribution to the team, he has only made two league assists all season this year. Part of his success was his ability to glide past defenders with his pace and touch, but there is little evidence of this so far this term.
On many occasions he has opted to, or been forced to, avoid a foot race with a defender and has decided to try and play intricate one-two’s on the edge of the box which has often broken down the play and restricted the forward momentum of the team.
In big games in Europe and away from home domestically he has been a passenger, and often subbed with long periods of the games remaining.
With the likes of Maryan Shved, Lewis Morgan to come back from loan deals and the possibility that the club could try to sign either Timothy Weah or Oliver Burke, Celtic aren’t exactly short down the wings.

The biggest factor may be the recent departure of his mentor and manager, Brendan Rodgers to Leicester City. His relationship with Rodgers has been well documented and he may feel his time has now come to an end in Glasgow.
While he might not be Premier League quality any more, he would find a club down south without too much of a problem.
