Celtic’s head of recruitment Lee Congerton looks set to stay at the club, despite reported interest from Leicester City.
As reported by Leicestershire Live, former Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers poured cold water over the claims that Congerton could be following him to the Premier League.
Having brought him into the club, there had been some suggestions that the head of recruitment could also be on his way out, following the likes of Kolo Toure in joining Rodgers at Leicester.
There’s nothing to add to that. There’s always speculation because I brought Lee in to Celtic.
Rodgers added:
Eduardo (Macia) is in position here. Lee (Congerton) is working at Celtic. There’s lots of speculation around, whether it’s staff or players. It’s not something that’s a focus for now.

The news will come as a huge boost for Celtic, who have been looking to keep the core of their backroom staff together following the recent upheaval at the club.
Celtic will soon be turning their attention to the summer transfer window, where the Hoops are likely to be busy once again.
The club faces the prospect of losing both senior central defenders in Filip Benkovic and Dedryck Boyata, while the club’s other loanees could all depart over the summer as well.
