Celtic manager Neil Lennon is prepared to call on Marvin Compper as his team enter a vital period of the season.
As quoted by The Daily Record, the Hoops boss discussed the German’s role at the club after he made an appearance in a reserve fixture against Dundee on Tuesday.
Lennon attended the 6-0 victory and was left impressed by Compper’s exploits, along with other fringe players who took part in the win.
The defender has been nothing more than a backup option at Celtic Park following his move to the club.

He arrived in the January transfer window last year from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig in a deal reported to be worth just £1 million.
However, Compper’s time at Celtic has not been particularly successful, with the centre-back having made only one appearance for the club since his arrival. This came in last season’s Scottish Cup victory over Morton.
Lennon admitted that he could yet call on Compper as the Hoops go in search of an unprecedented Treble-Treble. He said:
He could, yeah. He played a development game on Tuesday and I went to see it. His attitude was excellent.
At the minute, with the squad being stretched with injuries, it’s good to have bodies and those guys are getting a little bit of match fitness.
