Arsenal interested in summer move for Tierney
Arsenal manager Unai Emery has identified Kieran Tierney as a potential summer transfer target, according to the Mirror.
The 21-year-old is one of Celtic’s most highly-rated players and they will find it hard to keep hold of him in the coming months.
Emery is looking to strengthen in three key areas this summer and left-back is one of them.
Tierney is someone who can bring youth and quality to the Gunners’ back-line, with Nacho Monreal ageing and doubts surrounding Sead Kolasinac’s ability.
The Celtic favourite is also a target for Leicester City, with former Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers keen to take him to the King Power Stadium.
That is partly down to likely summer bids for Ben Chilwell, most notably from Premier League champions Manchester City.
The report does state that Rodgers’ controversial exit from Parkhead last month could work against Leicester, however, boosting Arsenal’s chances of landing the Scotland international.
Tierney’s current Celtic deal runs until 2023, so it will take a hefty bid to prise him away from the club.
